Set in 1950's London, The Deep Blue Sea follows a day in the life of Hester who has left her high court judge husband for a younger more exciting man. But the behaviour of Freddie, her lover, a World War II flying ace, leaves Hester caught in a chasm between the devil and the deep blue sea.
