- Michael Grandage to step down as Artistic Director of the Donmar Warehouse in 2011
Michael Grandage announced today that he will step down as Artistic Director of the Donmar Warehouse in late 2011, after nine years of leading the company.
- Donmar Announces New Season for 2011
Michael has announced details of the Donmar's upcoming 2011 season. In addition to a new production of KING LEAR, starring Derek Jacobi, Michael will direct Schiller’s LUISE MILLER in a new version by Mike Poulton. This reunites Michael and Poulton who last collaborated on Schiller’s DON CARLOS, and sees Felicity Jones return to the Donmar in the title role – she last performed at the theatre as Laurel in Michael's production of THE CHALK GARDEN.
LUISE MILLER will play the Donmar Warehouse 8 June - 30 July, 2011.

- KING LEAR - UK Tour and Worldwide Cinema Broadcast
Michael Grandage has announced that his production of KING LEAR with Derek Jacobi opening at the Donmar Warehouse in December 2010 will go on an eight week UK tour and be broadcast live to 300 cinemas worldwide. - DANTON'S DEATH opens at the National Theatre
Michael makes his National Theatre directing debut with his new production of DANTON'S DEATH. Performances began 15 July 2010 (with an official opening on 22 July 2010) and the production runs in repetoire in the Olivier Theatre at the National through 14 October 2010. - Michael Grandage wins the 2010 Tony Award for Best Director of a Play
On 13 June 2010, Michael received the Tony Award for Best Direction of a Play for his production of RED on Broadway. This marks Michael's first Tony Award win (he was also Tony nominated for his direction of FROST/NIXON on Broadway in 2007).
